FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
San Antonio, Texas – Ms. Ramirez’s students at Somerset Academy Lone Star are proud to announce that they have become published authors through a national student publishing program. The class, as part of the publishing process, planned, wrote, and illustrated their own book called "Nighttime at the Zoo" using a free publishing kit provided by Studentreasures Publishing. The book tells the story of what zoo animals might do at nighttime once the visitors have gone home.
"We are extremely proud of the hard work and dedication that Ms. Ramirez's class has put into creating this book," said Principal Lily Collins. "Their achievement is a testament to the power of imagination and the importance of fostering creativity in our students."
Deputy Superintendent Cory Oliver also praised the accomplishment, stating, "This is a wonderful example of how our students can achieve great things when given the opportunity and support to do so."
Superintendent Lisa Schutz added, "This is a fantastic achievement for the students and the school. We are excited to see the impact it will have on the students' love of reading and writing, and we hope it will inspire other students to pursue their own creative endeavors."
